“ It is high time that the residents in the mountain keep note of what is happening,” said the DP

During the function leaders led by MP Jane Njeri Maina( and Senators  Kamau Murango(Kirinyaga) James Gakuya( Embakasi North) Karungo Thang’wa (Nyandarua) castigated a political battalion out to undermine Gachagua, saying it had carried Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro shoulder high before abandoning him.

Njeri said the leaders from the Mt Kenya region are duty bound to respect the deputy president as an elected leader.

“ The deputy president has been on the ground listening to the people,” said the Kirinyaga MP.

Karungo said the rebel politicians were now strategising behind the Interior and National Coordination Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki.

“ Dont be misinformed and the deputy president remains a uniting factor in the mountain,” said the Kiambu senator.

During the function, the local Governor Mumbi Waiguru said in her time she has done a level four hospitals at Kianyaga, Kimbimbi and Sagana and 11 modern markets.

Waiguru gave Sh300,000 and presented President William Ruto donation of Sh2 million to facilitate completion of the clergy’s house at Baricho Parish.

She said that Kirinyaga voters are concerned with the development agenda, not politics.

“I have delivered and have confidence that if the ‘katiba’ allows me to go  for a third time I can be re-elected,” said Waiguru.
