It’s time to deliver not for 2027 campaign, says Ruto

President William Ruto has warned leaders against being preoccupied by 2027 campaigns and instead focus on service delivery.

The head of state said the leaders are supposed to work on meeting the public expectations, through projects related to national building, that include roads, markets, water, electricity and affordable housing programmes.

 Ruto said the leaders should focus on service delivery instead of looking at 2027 campaigns, where the public will have a right.

Speaking in Nyeri during AIPCA service, during the launch of Central West  Archdiocese, where he said was interested towards ensuring development programmes are achieved for the interest of the residents.

“ Let  the leaders focus on development programmes as we have three years until the General election,” said Ruto as he directed energy PS Alex Wachira to ensure the electrification programme is achieved.

In the same function, the head of state lauded the unity demonstrated by AIPCA leadership led by Archbishops Fredrick Wang’ombe, Samson Muthuri and Julius Njoroge for having united the church after the wrangles that existed in the yester years.

In the matters concerning Hillside Academy Endarasha fire, the president  extended support of two million shillings to assist the learners who lost their personal effects.

“ I will hand my donation through Kieni MP Wainaina Njoroge, and after the police complete the investigation I will look into ways of assisting the school proprietor Mr Kinyua, as it has helped to educate the children from the locality,” said Ruto.
