Ignorance
of Covid 19 protocols has driven Kenyans into the Third Wave.
Observation
by The Mountain Journal revealed that the citizens threw the protocols out of
the windows, leading to dry pipes and removal of handwashing basins from the entrance
of business premises.
County
government health executives through their chairman Joseph Mbai raised a red
flag pleading with Kenyans to observe the protocols to save plunging the
country into a crisis.

Mbai spoke in Murang’a after he was vaccinated
against the disease, saying there was the need for all to ensure they stop the
spread of the disease as the third wave looms.
“All
Kenyans must be aware of the looming crisis if the laid down Covid 19 protocols
will not be observed,” said Mbai.
At the same time, Health Cabinet Secretary
Mutahi Kagwe raised alarm over the increased number of people testing positive.
Kagwe
in his daily update said 723 people tested positive declaring the number as the
highest in the last three months.
The CS said 563 are admitted in hospitals and
89 in Intensive Care Units across the country.
Kagwe dispelled rumours peddled against the vaccine
saying it has gone through tests apart from being approved by the World Health
Organisation (WHO).
“ In
a week close to 4,000 Kenyans have been vaccinated and more are willing to be
part of the exercise to stop the spread of the disease,” said the CS.
