Police hunting people without face masks

More than 256 suspects have been
arrested in Murang’a county for flouting Covid 19 protocols.

The suspects who included bar and hotel operators fell victim due to lack of thermo guns and customers.

Ten Public Service Vehicle operators were arrested due to failure to wear masks and providing their passengers with sanitisers as required by the law.

Murang’a County Police Commander
Josphat Kinyua said in the operation 10 liquor outlets have been closed, and
their licenses withdrawn over violation of Covid 19 guidelines.

“We have been forced to keep the
suspects in the open fields in the sub-counties to ensure they keep social
distance,” said Kinyua.


In the team ,  there
are Public Health Officers  enforcing the
regulations.
