Karismatic Karihe who was running mate to the controversial Miguna Miguna running mate for Nairobi Governorship in 2013 has declared interest to run for Murang’a senatorial position.
Karihe, a resident of Kandara, is allied to the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi declared to support Deputy President William Ruto of UDA following last week’s Earth Quake declaration.
In the Murang’a Governorship contest Karihe will be supporting Dr Irungu Kang’ata for the slots that have attracted other aspirants.
Speaking to The Mountain Journal, Karihe said he was ready to face other aspirants for the slot owing to his youth backing to join in the senate to support in formulating policies that will work to improve the devolved units.
“ I tried the Nairobi seat with the Canadian based lawyer Miguna Miguna and after the attempt failed have relocated to my Murang’a county backyard for the senatorial position,” said Karihe.
