A 19 year old college student suspected to have been molesting young children in Witeithie was arrested by police last night.
Following quick intervention by Witeithie Police OCS Julius Sankare who responded to distress call, the suspect was saved from the hands of angry residents who wanted to lynch him.
According to one parent, she found her four year old son being locked into a room together with the suspect and upon explanations, the shaken minor narrated the ordeal.
The mother raised the alarm attracting attention from the public.
Upon interrogation by residents who came to his aid, the child confessed that ‘Uncle” had been molesting him.
The minor also mentioned two other small boys who were also being sodomised by the suspect on various occasions.
The student, it was revealed, invites them to his house in order to watch movies and play computer games from his smartphone.
He was booked at Witeithie Police station for processing awaiting to be arraigned in court to face counts.
