Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe has disclosed the cooperation between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga helped Irungu Kang’ata to cling to poition of Majority Whip.
Murathe said Raila proposed Kang’ata to take the position when Jubilee party cracked whip on followers of Deputy President William Ruto from leaderahip positions in the Senate.
He spoke at Gathinja ACK church in Kiharu during burial service of Rosemary Wairimu Kimani. The service was attended by former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth and Senator Kang’ata.
“Raila had alot of faith in Kang’ata and from his action he helped senate approve Third Revenue Generation Formulae that had met strong opposition”said Murathe.
He added that Raila guided the revenue allocation process as a nationalist,despite counties that supported him in Coast and Northern Kenya losing.
“Central Kenya got its rightful revenue allocation that will be used to initaite development projects,”said Murathe.
Kenneth on his part hit at critics of the President saying there was need for all to remain respectful and shun name calling.
