Ichagaki MCA get with more roads

Ministry of transport
Cabinet Secretary James Macharia has awarded more roads to be constructed in
Ichagaki ward, Maragua Constituency.

 Ichagaki MCA Charles
Mwangi
said the  additional roads from the  Cabinet Secretary  will be implemented by Kenya Rural Roads
Authority (KeRRA).

 Speaking in Murang’a
town,
Mwangi said that he has lobbied
for the construction of roads since he joined
 Murang’a County Assembly.

The roads  to be improved are Kianjirui-ini Wamuteme
Kibiriri, Kiamakumi Githigi Githuya, and Kipiriri kamucheru and Mumbu Githuya
road.

The MCA  hailed the coordinated partnership between Murang’a
County government, KeRRA and the Ministry of Transport
in the implementation of the projects.

 “I lobbied these
roads through Eng Joseph Wanjohi of
 Murang’a
KeRRA office, for the interest of Ichagaki people,” said Mwangi.

 Speaking to The
Mountain Journal, the MCA said he will remain in touch
  looking
for partnership  with KeRRA for
future consideration in the awarding of road projects.

 He further warned
corrupt officials who are conspiring to derail development in Ichagaki to stop
noting that he won’t be intimidated.

 Last year, Mwangi christened
Ichagaki one mobilized resources
  to facilitate
repair feeder roads in
 parts of the ward,
to save the residents the agony of walking long distances while transporting
goods to the market.

 Mwangi
has accused Maragua MP Mary Wamaua for allegedly neglecting her duties,
  forcing him to chip in.
