Ruto nominates Mutahi, Kinyanjui and Kabogo to his cabinet

A week after President William Ruto visited his predecessor Uhuru Kenya three two former governors and a former Cabinet Secretary have been nominated to join the broaded government cabinet.

Allies  to the retired President,  former governors William Kabogo( Kiambu), Lee Kinyanjui ( Nakuru) and  former Health Cabinet Secretaries Mutahi Kahiga have been nominated by President Ruto to join the government. 

 Kabogo was  been nominated for the position in the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Digital Economy.

Kinyanjui was nominated to fill the position of Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry.

Kabogo will be taking over from Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u, who is the current Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy. Nyambura has been nominated to the position of Kenyan high commissioner in Ghana.

Lee Kinyanjui is taking over from Salim Mvurya who the President has reassigned to the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports. 

Mutahi Kagwe has been nominated to the position of the Agriculture and Livestock Development Cabinet Secretary. 

If approved by parliament in the agriculture docket, Kagwe will take over from Dr Andrew Karanja who heads to be the Kenya envoy in Brazil.

Trade CS Salim Mvurya heads to youth affairs taking over from Kipchumba Murkomen who takes over the powerful interior and national coordination,

Former Murang’a Senator Kembi Gitura has been appointed to chair board of directors at Kenyatta University Teaching and Refferal Hospital.

Former Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi heads to chair KRA board taking over from Antony Mwaura heads chair Board of Directors at Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA).
