Celebrations rocked Kigumo sub county hospital after Governor Irungu Kang’ata officially opened the dialysis centre.
The residents lauded the initiative by the Murang’a County Government over the completion of the dialysis centre designed to decongest one at the Murang’a Level Five Hospital that serves hundreds of murang’a residents.

Through the partnership with Benna care , Murang’a county government opened the facility to provide relief to residents in Kandara, and Gatanga who have been travelling for the service to Murang’a town.
Kang’ata accompanied by his deputy Stephen Munania said his administration was determined to serve the Murang’a people.
“ We promised Kigumo people that we shall establish a dialysis centre which is now a reality,” said Kang’ata.
Moses Kamande, a resident in Kangari said establishment of the facility in Kigumo is a relief as patients in need of dialysis service travelled to Kenya National Hospital and Murang’a on weekly basis.
Kamande lauded Kang’ata administration for the improved health services.

“ We have served for a long time but now Kigumo residents are happy over the reduced burden,” said Kamande.
Present were health CEC Dr Fredrick Mbugua, Health Chief Officer Eliud Maina and Kigumo MCA Caroline Njoroge.
