A Kiharu
leader has called upon Kenyans to support Building Bridges Initiative saying it
will give a better future.
Mr Karanja Mburu Wamatangi a director at lapsset board said Kiharu is set to benefit as it was a populous
constituency added that it will be wise to have a multiple member constituency
to cater for the unrepresented
population.
The BBI set for a national referendum propose
for additional MPs 360 up from 290 areas of representation in a single and multiple constituency.
“The BBI
will be a solution for the challenges that kiharu has gone through for years
due to under representation,” he said.
In 2017, Wamatangi contested the Kiharu
parliamentary seat and lost to MP Ndindi Nyoro.
Wamatangi is a staunch supporter of President
Uhuru Kenyatta, while Nyoro is a allied to a camp campaigning for Deputy
President William Ruto ahead of 2022.
