A marketing connector swindles 45 job seekers  

A marketting connector Christine Ndiloko Nyamai found herself in the wrong arm of the law after she was charged with swindling millions of shillings from 45 job seekers while pretending she would facilitate their travel and work abroad.

Nyamai was charged that between February 2024 and July 2024 obtained Sh 1.6 million from Beatrice Nkoli Karanja by falsely pretending that she would facilitate 45 people to travel and work abroad.

She denied the charges before Magistrate Martha Nazushi who released her on a Sh 500,000 bond until September 6 when the case will be mentioned for further directions.

The complainant , the court was told was an employee of Fydel Agency located at Lotus House in Nairobi as a marketing influencer.

The court was told that during the complainant’s stay at the Agency she managed to recruit 45 people who were to be taken abroad as cleaners, drivers and house helps.

All the 45 people were supposed to pay a facilitation fee of Sh100,000 each for drivers and security applicants and Sh 80,000 for cleaners.

After the payment of facilitation fee, the 45  applicants submitted their passports to the agency, however, the accused did not offer them jobs.

She instead became elusive and abusive forcing the victims seek police assistance at Central Police Station in Nairobi.

According to the Complainant, the accused is running a well Cheo graphed Agency that   is hoodwinking and swindling unsuspecting Kenyans millions of money with promise of fake jobs abroad.
