Former Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau remains a gubernatorial candidate to watch in Murang’a after he has successfully facilitated free medical camps around the sub counties.
More than 60,000 people have received specialized treatment in the 11th free medical camps that have been conducted with help of a dedicate health workers and volunteers.
On Friday at Tutu Turu High School in Kigumo, Kamau the gubernatorial aspirant on a Jubilee Party ticket said within a 100days after if elected will transform the health sector through ensuring the health facilities are stocked with essential drugs and welfare of the health workers looked on.
“There is need for Murang’a county to have a leader who is dedicated to serve and improve the welfare of the residents. It is a pity that we have health facilities operating without drugs, which if am elected there will be professionalism in the public sector,” said Kamau.
Others competing against Kamau are Senator Irungu Kang’ata (UDA), Tea Lobby Sector Chairman Irungu Nyakera Farmers Party), former Water PS Wairagu wa Maai(DP), former Kandara MP Joshua Toro(UPIA) (and Dr Moses Mwangi(Safina).
Kamau is a former Ministry for Nairobi Metropolitan credited for supporting improvement of infrastructure development in Murang’a county after it was included in the metropolitan zone during his tenure.
