Governor Nyoro at war with MP Jungle

The latest move by Thika town Mp Patrick Wainaina alias Jungle to erect motor bike shades in several parts of the county has caused political jitters within Kiambu governor Jame’s Nyoro inner circle.
Mr Nyoro together with his deputy Joyce Ngugi disapproved the Mp Patrick for concentrating on development projects that do not help locals.
Since the advent of Covid-19  pandemic the Thika Mp through his jungle foundation has been extending his donations to boda boda riders on what he says is meant to cushion them from the harsh weather.
Wainaina said that it was unfortunate that shades erected to cushion the riders from the harsh weather were being demolished and vandalized at night.
“Through my jungle foundation,  and macademia business i meet alot of people, I have erected the motor bike shades not only in Kiambu but also in Meru and other places, this shades were requested by the youths, It is unfortunate and sad that it has been reported that the boda boda shades have been demolished. It is very malicious for anyone to fight developments,” he said
The MP has maintained that leaders should, instead of fighting, complement each other on matters development and vowed to handle those vandalizing his projects head on.
However, the county chief says there is political undertones associated with the Thika town legislator’s actions.
Giving an example of motor bike shades, that the , erected by the  Mp, the governor together with his deputy criticized the project  initiated by the Mp whereas area residents in the semi –arid parts of Thika lacked essential amenities such as sufficient water, roads and health facilities.
“It is laughable that the legislator brags of being an engineer yet the people of Ngoliba, Mukunikee and Maguguni have no piped or borehole water, use your engineering skills and dig boreholes for them”, Nyoro challenged the Thika lawmaker.
Mr Nyoro said it was now bare- knuckle fight with his opponents’ who have been claiming that he is a technocrat but not a politician.
He further said his gloves were off and challenged his competitors to be ready for a political duel of their life time.
“I will not be swayed by my detractors and if they poke my eye with a finger, I will poke them with my hand, he further added that his opponents should not mistaken him for a lion that has been rained on for a cat. I am appealing to you forget cheap politics, this is time to work, we can’t eat politics, we have 24 months to the 2022 general elections ,will politics connect water here in Mukunikee, Ngoliba or feed our children, ?” he further paused.
“I am challenging Thika legislator  to declare his political  stand, he is currently neither  cold nor warm, come out today and declare if you are behind President Uhuru Kenyatta or not”, he demanded.
Mr Nyoro further took a swipe on the Mp head on, and dared him to join a national party if he wants a “proper” political fight between the two.
Nyoro, who was accompanied by his political advisor Bishop David Ngari alias Gakuyo, Ngoliba ward rep Joachim Mwangi and other senior county officials asked the Mp to stop associating himself with projects which were launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta through the national government and identify his own.
“Why are you concentrating on the wrong job docket? stick to your position  as Thika  town Mp and work for your people who are still struggling with water shortage, lack of health facilities and poor road network, why then would you prioritize on non-essential  projects in Ruiru, Githunguri, Gatundu and other sub counties?”, paused Ngugi.
They further challenged Wainaina to come out clear over his association with Tanga tanga brigade associated with Deputy President William Ruto.
“Come out clear and show your loyalty, let us know whether you are in tanga tanga or kieleweke, stop hiding behind the “independent candidature, declare your interest in public”, Nyoro challenged Thika Mp.
At the same time the County chief was visibly angry further dared Kiambu county lawmakers to come out clean and declare their political stand openly.
The governor was speaking in Kilimambogo, Thika where he launched several development projects.
