Battle comes closer home as Jubilee unveils its candidates

The August 9, has been spiced up in Murang’a after Jubilee Party has issued a list of his nominees.

In the leading list,  former Senator Kembi Gitura has been identified  by the party to face the UDA’s Joe Nyutu and Lucas Njoroge of Usawa Kwa Wote. Kembi will also face Dr Pius Kinuthia of ODM

 The party officials dropped Prof Peter Kagwanja who  put in spirited efforts to capture the seat presently occupied by senator Irungu Kang’ata.

 Former Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau  got a direct and will face Joseph Mbai of Usawa Kwa Wote, former Principal Secretary Joseph Wairagua of DP and Kang’ata of UDA.

The party after the negotiations settled on the youthful Goerge Kibuku as the placement for the incumbent Muturi Kigano who was dropped.

Radio Journalist Everlyn Waithira Muthirania of Kihoto radio will face Betty Njeri Maina  of UDA and Fresia Muthoni of Usawa Kwa wote in the field.


In the negotiation process, Gatanga MP Joseph Ngugi Nduati got a reprieve after he was found the best  for the slot as compared to his rival Anthony Kimani wa Mumbi.

Mathioya MP Peter Kihara Kimari  got a safe passage after he was separated  from his rival Johnson Kihato.

Maragua Jubilee nominee is Anthony Chege Wabuku who will fight  for the slot with the incumbent Mary Wamaua (UDA)and Lawrence Munga(CCK).

Kigumo MP Wangari Mwangi got a direct ticket  to compete against Joseph Munyoro of UDA, Martin Mburu among others.


 In Kandara, the party settled on Peter Kinyanjui Ngugi to face the incumbent Alice Wahome of UDA,  and Julius Kaberereof PNU and Chege Njuguna of Chama Cha Kazi.


In Kiharu constituency,  Karanja Mburu Wamatangi of Jubilee Party will face the incumbent Ndindi Nyoro.
