Bishop Migwi death a blow to Nairobians who depended on him

 Nairobi faithful were thrown into a mourning mood after the death of Bishop Godfrey Migwi who had declared to run for a parliamentary seat in Mathioya, Murang’a.

Migwi who led the  House of Hope Church passed on Thursday night after  he fell sick in Nairobi.

In May last year, the late Bishop Migwi an aspirant  for the Mathioya parliamentary seat  in a video that went viral shed tears as he addressed President Uhuru Kenyatta on the plight of residents of Nairobi after their shelters were demolished. 

He regretted the suffering the residents were going through seeking for the state to stop the demolitions/

 Kikuyu radio stations where he frequented for preaching and pastoral guidance broke the story  at 7 am.

 Deputy President William Ruto eulogised the late Bishop as a man of frim pastoral faith that he influenced many Kenyans.

” He was bold, vocal and powerful  spiritual  with great sense of homour,” said Ruto as he eulogised  Migwi.

Githua Koine a friend to the Bishop said he has been instrumental in support of poor families  as he built a house  in Gitugi ward and participated in charitable works in Mathioya.

” The late Bishop listened to the people every much  and consulted widely before embarking on a mission,” said Githua.

 Last year, the bishop joined hands  with Mathioya leaders and distributed food and other essentials  to the needy families  to assist in the mitigation against the Covid 19 pandemic.
