A week after the residents of Majengo watched their
property reduced to ashes by a mysterious fire they finally got help from a
Mwangi wa Sammy.
Mwangi who witnessed the fire burn their
belongings, was back on the site to help the victims and alleviate their
suffering.
He is the first leader in Laikipia to visit the
victims and console them following the incident that left 29 families homeless.
Speaking in Majengo, Wa Sammy said mobilized his friends to make their donations to help the suffering families.
He donated
foodstuff and clothes to the victims and promised to be visiting them.
“ We need a culture of helping one another and
more so be your brother’s keeper,” said Wa Sammy.
He later went did an
impromptu visit to the old market and donated Hand-wash tanks and Soap to aid
the sanitation for both the market customers and services providers.
