The Constitution amendment process has
kicked off with more than 24 county assemblies endorsing the BBI report, as Nyandarua MCAs fought off goons.

Murang’a County Assembly became the first to
endorse the report on Super Tuesday, with Governor Mwangi wa Iria monitoring
the process where all the 53 MCAs affirmed it.

Others that supported the document included  the counties of Meru,
Kiambu, Nyeri, Kiambu, Nyandarua, Isiolo.

At Isiolo assembly 13 supported BBI,
as four rejected it.

The Governor said there was the need to support the document as it
proposes additional resources to the counties from the national government.

There was chaos at Nyandarua where some black
men sneaked in the assembly and attempted to steal the mace.

 The men who were
described as strangers were ordered out of the assembly by the police after a pandemonium.

There has been difference between Governor Francis Kimemia and impeached speaker Ndegwa Wahome.

Calm returned and the members passed the bill
and joined other assemblies in the vote-rich.

The Nyandarua assembly has been on surveillance
after the members impeached their clerk following the emerging disagreements in
the county.
