Senator Kang’ata in hot soup
Senate Majority Whip Irungu Kang’ata says he
is ready to face the consequence for saying the truth.
The senator said in his Murang’a back yard he
will stand by the truth for the interest of the people.
As the leaders kicked the start of luring him back to back the BBI, his law firm is among the 25 which are under investigation by EACC over dealing with Nairobi County Government.
He spoke in Kigumo, when he accompanied Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya,
said he is confident that his December
30, 2020 letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta was based on truth.
“ As a leader what the leaders are
running away from Kang’ata is ready to say it for the interest of the country,”
said the majority whip.
In the past three days, leaders in Murang’a
led by MPs Wangari Mwaniki( Kigumo), Peter Kimari( Mathioya) and Sabina Chege(
Murang’a) have been pushing the senator to declare his stand on BBI.
Speaking in Kangema, Munya told the senator on
his face that he should stop claiming that letter he sent had forced him to
start going around the country.
“ The senator should know that the
reform process being championed started way back in 2018. He should stop misleading the people basing
his misguided facts on the BBI report,” said Munya.
Already, in Mt Kenya region, BBI secretariat is led by Kirinyaga senator
Charles Kibiru with Kigumo MP organizing secretary.
