Laikipia County Government in efforts to tame the spread of Covid 19, has received Personal Protective Equipment from a commercial bank.
The County Government Health Executive Committee Member Dr Lenai Kamario received a consignment of PPEs from Equity bank and Equity foundation.
The goodies at Nanyuki County Referal Hospital included PPEs to provide the health workers with proper infection prevention.
This is the first consignment of goodies dubbed the right protection for Laikipia county since the pandemic started.
In total, in the county, there are accumulative 707 Covid 19 positive cases out of 7503 samples collected since the pandemic was reported.
“We commend the good job being done by our health staff, firstline responders at the ICUs/CCUs, isolation centres and those involved in community surveillance and homebased isolation visits,” said the CEM.
