Deputy
President William Ruto spent hours in the counties Murang’a and Nyeri hunting
for votes ahead of the August 9 polls.
Ruto backed
by his allies led by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro said he was the best in the service
delivery as compared to his rival Raila Odinga of Azimio La Umoja Coalition.
In Murang’a
town, Ruto pleaded with the electorate to support his bid saying before the
development programmes initiated by the Jubilee Government were sabotaged the
country was doing well in the construction of roads, the connection of water, and
electricity among others.
“On the
polling day I humbly seek your support wake up early and walk into the polling
station and cast your vote backing my candidature,” said the Deputy President.
He also introduced to the crowd the Murang’a gubernatorial
candidates, senator Irungu Kang’ata of UDA, Irungu Nyakera ( Farmers Party), and
Wairagu wa Maai( DP). Others who accompanied Ruto were MPs Alice Wahome(
Kandara), and Mary Wamaua( Maragua).
