Chaos that rocked Laikipia County
Assembly has been traced to have been ignited by an MCA whose brother lost a
chance to be employed.
The Mountain Journal has learnt that majority
of the members have distanced themselves from the action that tainted the image of
the house of the representatives.
Insiders divulged that a member
incited his colleagues to cause chaos, after his brother was not considered for
employment by the county assembly service board.
A cross-section of the members interviewed defended the Clerk Mr Jusper Mutwiri from the accusation leveled against by five MCAs.
Mr Mutwiri
The member who sought anonymity said the
action by their colleagues was pushed through act of malice, as the clerk is an employee of the service board.
“The chaos was planned by a section not more than five to
taint the image of the Clerk. We are waiting
for any evidence if there is any,” said one of the MCA.
The members whose
action attracted the media claimed the clerk was employing people at the
organisation through nepotism.
