Mbote an environmental activist now spearheading BBI Mashinani

 

A former councillor in Murang’a has been placed in
almost all ugly confrontations between warring Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke
factions of Jubilee Party in the area.

Alex Mbote is known not to shy away from confronting in protecting
President Uhuru Kenyatta administration from negative criticism by those
affiliated to  Tanga Tanga faction of Jubilee
Party.

The former Kangari civic leaders and who was once Vice Chairman  to the defunct County Council of Maragua  is claimed  for being in the centre of incidents where MPs
supporting the Tanga Tanga faction in Murang’a has faced public ridicule.

“I have been against Deputy President William Ruto over his
disobeying his boss, as he moved to the opposition instead of supporting
Handshake spearheaded by Kenyatta and ODM Leader Raila Odinga,” said Mbote.

 In the attempted plot to
bar Ruto from presiding a fundraiser at the African Pentecostal Independent
Church of African (AIPCA), Kenol, Maragua he is mentioned to had been part.

 In the events, Mbote in
January disrupted a press conference
 
where allies of Kandara MP Alice Wahome 
met to deliberate on issues on the alleged failures by the government.

Months later in Gatumbi village, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria
found himself in the hot soup, after Mbote blocked him to address mourners
during the burial of the late Kigumo MP Kihara Mwangi.

Two months ago, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro suffered the same fate at
Nyakahura grounds in Kangema, where Mbote blocked him from addressing the mourners.

This was during the burial of four road accident victims.

Mbote rose to controversies when he was in his earlier political
life after organized demonstrations in Gatare forest block in the Aberdares
that exposed cartels exploiting the natural resource.

 The conservation move
earned him  to be appointed an honorary
warden by Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS)
