Don’t expose your parents to Covid 19, Ahadi Kenya boss urge the youth

 Ahadi Kenya Executive Director Stanley Kamau Wandutu pleads with Kenyans to restrain in travelling home for Xmas and New Year festivities.

 Dr Kamau said it will be useless  for the people  to travel to the upcountry as they risk spreading Covid 19 in the rural areas.

 Speaking at Kiria ini market when he distributed Christmas gifts to mechanics based at Kiria ini and Kangema markets, he pleaded with the youth to remain in  towns instead of taking the disease to the elderly.

” There is no point in travelling home. The parents understand there is a pandemic and thus need to send them presents. There are money transfer systems and courier services that can be used to send the presents in the villages,” said Kamau.
 The pandemic, Kamau also a member of the board of Kenyatta National Hospital  said  there is a risk of spreading the disease if the public will ignore advice from the government.
” The health facilities are full with patients under treatment of Covid 19, let’s all observe the protocols instead of being a risk to our parents,” said Kamau.
 A week ago. Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe  warned Kenyans  to travel home during Christmas and New Year festivities , as a measure to curb the spread of the disease.
 In the past three days highways in the country have been congested with hundreds of Kenyans travelling home  for the festivities, ignoring the risks.
