Governor Jonathan Bii nominates Evans Kipruto Kapkea as deputy governor following the resignation of Barorot.
Kapkea is Tembelio ward MCA and if approved by the county assembly will assume the office.
Barorot announced on Monday during a meeting with senior county staff at a hotel in Eldoret, in the presence of Governor Bii.
