Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru Presents gifts of Speciality coffee and Tea to First lady Racheal Ruto at County during Joyful Women empowerment Forum.

The First Lady Racheal Ruto has lauded Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru for her development track record, describing her as a transformative force, especially in women’s empowerment initiatives in the County.
She acknowledged that through Waiguru’s relentless efforts and the quest to uplift women’s living Standards, her Wezesha Kirinyaga initiatives had earned recognition nationally.
She spoke during the Joyful Women forum in Kirinyaga. Where she said Kirinyaga’s devolved Unit has gone a long way to equip women with skills which have enabled them to earn a living.
” At Kaitheri apparel factory, Women have transformed tailoring to an economic enterprise through designing and Production of school uniforms and other fittings.” Said Racheal.
She further commended the government’s commitments in Complimenting the National Government’s bottom-up agenda under President William Ruto
President Ruto’s administration, she said, was keen to implement financial inclusion at all levels of society across the country.
“The President was keen to ensure Women across the Country were active participants as entrepreneurs, investors and leaders at all levels of government,” she said as she affirmed that the President remains deeply committed to women’s empowerment.

Racheal thanked the county residents for demonstrating confidence in women’s leadership by electing the first Woman Governor in the county.
“There is great power in women who choose and support each other across social and economic sectors,” she said
The First Lady urged the Kirinyaga residents to continue working hard on their farms, adding that the county’s agricultural products such as specialised coffee, Tea and Aromatic pishori rice had put Kenya on international recognition.
In the event, the First Lady launched the distribution of various women’s business empowerment accessories such as umbrellas for kiosks, milking cans, foodstuffs as well as Coffee and Avacado seedlings.
