The much-awaited consignment of fertiliser docked at the Port of Mombasa to the excitement of the 700,000 farmers across the counties.
KTDA Chairman Enos Njeru informed the stakeholders that the ship carrying fertilizer for the tea farmers docked at the Port of Mombasa in the evening.
“The necessary logistical and clearance processes will commence immediately to ensure that the fertilizer reaches farmers as soon as possible,” said Mr Njeru.
He said that as they move to the distribution stage, he urged farmers to remain calm, vigilant and follow official communication from KTDA and their respective factories.
“ Let us avoid misinformation and rely on verified information from our factory boards and KTDA,” said the Chairman
Farmers remain at the heart of everything we do. We will continue working to safeguard their interests and ensure that they receive the support they need to sustain quality tea production.
