A
section of secondary school principals who have stayed in one station for long
have been moved.
In
the reshuffle, several heads have retired paving way for energetic persons to
take over leadership mantle top steer the institutions to greater heights.
Among
those who have retired is Abraham Githuka who had guided Mang’u Boys for years,
after he was moved from Njiiri Boys High School in Murang’a.
In
the shakeup, new head at Mang’u Boys is Mr J.M Kuria who was moved from Baricho
High School, Kirinyaga county.
Incoming
Principal at Mang’u High School Mr J.M. Kuria being ushered in by the
immediate former Abraham Githuka who has moved to retirement. Kuria is the former
Principal at Baricho Boys High School in Kirinyaga county.
There
was celebrations at Mang’u when Githuka ushered in Kuria in the position a day
after TSC moved him.
Appointment of Kuria at Mang’u was full of a surprise following an interest
that was made by several heads to replace Githuka after he retired from service
in June.
In
Murang’a County, Principal at Kirwara Boys High School in Gatanga Mr
James Gitau is the new head at Chania Boys High School in Thika town.
Gitau
a long-serving principal has replaced the late Mr Allan Macharia who passed
following a heart condition last month.
The
Principal at Gaichanjiru Boys Mr James Mbothu was moved to take over the
leadership mantle from Gitau at Kirwara Boys.
Principal
at Koimbi Boys Dr John Muthee and also the chairman Kahuro Secondary School
Heads Association has been moved to Kimunyu Secondary School in Gatundu South,
Kiambu.
The
new principal at Gaichanjiru Boys is Charles Kinyua formerly of Leshau Boys
High School in Ndaragwa, Nyandarua County.
Kiruri
Boys High school in Kangema Principal a Mr Kung’u moved to Makuyu Boys, while
Endarasha Boys, Nyeri county Principal a Mr Mwangi is the new head at Baricho
Boys High School.
A
Mr. Gathogo from Kiambu county is heading to Koimbi Boys to replace Dr Muthee.
Mr
Karuri Gakure the head at Mirichu secondary school in Kahuro Murang’a has been
moved to Leshau Boys High School, Nyandarua taking over from Kinyua.
In
Nairobi county, Ms Everlyn Nabukwesi of Eregi Girls in Kakamega county
was moved to State House Girls to take over Joan Muoti is has
retired.
Ms Eunice
Wamaru from Kathande Girls in Embu county moves Kaharo girls in Maragua in the same position. In the shakeup Kahuro
Girls Principal moved to Tharaka Nithi county
At
Huruma Girls Chief Principal Margaret Owenje has retired and replaced by a Ms
Grace from St Annies Jogoo Road Secondary School. Also retiring is Ms
Njagi from Kamahuha Girls High School in Murang’a.
Others affected
institutions are Our lady of Mercy South B, Our Lady of Mercy Shauri
Moyo, Embakasi Girls, Kahawa Garrison, Nile Road, Dandora
Girls, Karen C, Shadrach Kimalel.
