Real estate innovation on strategies following poor business environment

The concerns raised by the Kenya Federation of Employers over poor business climate, have been supported by the Comfort Homes Director Hezekiah Kariuki has waded into the debate saying that real estate companies are not exceptional since they are operating in the same economic harsh environment. 

Mr Kariuki said that the real estate company have resulted issuance of discounts to win more customers and make profits rather than increase prices of the products in efforts to curb high costs of doing business in the country. 

” In Comfort Homes, like many of the companies, we have resolved to discount prices of the plots in various projects to try to increase sales to leverage the economic situation in businesses.”  he said.

The company, he said has designed an installment payment structure, which has assisted many of the customers acquire their land  in various parts of the country.

He however admitted that many companies in real estate who failed to adapt in the hard economic situations faced closers to disadvantage of clients and mass lay offs In efforts to stabilise. 

” The private sector has great contributions to GDP through taxations and employment, and the government need be supportive to help businesses to thrive,” he observed. 

Kariuki also Director Together As One added they are navigating  various measures to adapt to and caution the customers out of the situation.
