The attempt by the security operative to block the official opening of the Mugoiri Assistant County Commissioner’s office flopped after the Kiharu MP, Ndindi Nyoro, moved and presided over the function.
The administrators boycotted the function, as they allowed the public to criticise their move, as the building would accommodate their offices.
Early in the morning, the administrators, backed by the police, installed padlocks on the entrance of the building, which the locals removed after they learned of the mission to block the MP from opening the building constructed with the NG CDF funds.
Speaking in Kahuro market, he said, the police were deployed to block the official opening of the office and a move designed to scare the locals.

“I know who is misusing the police, sending them to cause panic among the locals to block the office constructed through the NG CDF from being opened,” said Ndindi.
Local leaders Joshua Githinji and Kamau Mutuota said Ndindi’s tribulations started after he moved to criticise President William Ruto’s administration, and they urged him to continue speaking on behalf of the citizens.
“ President Ruto’s administration has waged war against Ndindi owing to his performance. The affordable housing programme should be centred in the vulnerable areas,” said Mutuota.
Last year, during the opening of Mjini’s Kiharu Assistant County Commissioner’s office in Murang’a town, the administrators boycotted the function.

On his pursuit of free secondary education, Ndindi said, the Masomo Bora Programme initiated in Kiharu stood as a better platform to prove that free education was accessible.
The NG CDF, he said, should allocate Sh 10 billion, the county government Sh 10 billion, and the Government Sh 10 billion to facilitate free secondary education at the Sh 30 billion annually.
” Since we are in the budget-making process, we need to ensure we have a Sh 30 billion kitty that can run the free education programme in secondary schools for the interest of our learners,” he said.
He added that the Masomo Bora Programme runs secondary schools in Kiharu, funded by the NG CDF.
