Mount
Kenya University (MKU) is among the key institutions and organizations widely
searched for items in the search engine as goggle marks its 15th
anniversary.
In
the search engine Kenya’s leading persons searched are President Uhuru
Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, ODM Leader Raila Odinga, controversial
politician cum lawyer Miguna Miguna former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko
among five others.
Early
this year, MKU was rated highly for hosting the highest number of learners from
foreign countries in Kenya.
In
the latest rating from google MKU is ranked in the sixth position in the widely
searched information from the internet. In the world English
premier league was the most searched as Sportspesa the second.
MKU chairman Prof Simon Gicharu lauded the ranking saying the institution has
remained among the top in the world.
“
The search in the last 15 years is a testimony that MKU is a leading
institution in the world and giving the learners the first class education,”
said Gicharu, adding that last week 6,500 students graduated with various
degrees.
Others
rated are Kenyatta University, University of Nairobi, Moi university and
Maseno University.
Others
are teachers service commission, Strathmore University, and Stima Sacco.
