The allies Kenya Kwanza drummed up support to accord President William Ruto a second term following implementation of development programmes designed to uplift living standard of Kenyans across the country
The Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki warned Kenyans against listening to individuals playing deceptive politics that can plunge the country into a danger.
He told the allies of the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, they lacked a meaningful development plan for the country .
“Ignore the They further cautioned Kenyans against being incited to violence by critics of the government during the demonstrations.
“The critics of the government in their demonstration should be peaceful not to cause any destruction to property, it was witnessed in the various areas in the mountain. It is regrettable that the local business person at Kabati market suffered the destruction,” said Kindiki
“Don’t allow those playing negative politics to deceive as the government of President Ruto is committed to fast development in all parts of the country,”said the DP.
He said all the ongoing development programmes among them road, electricity, water among others are scheduled to be completed before 2027.
They converged as they castigated allies of the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagi who were ridiculed as ignorant to the empowerment programmes that are supported by millions of Kenyans.
“ This is a noble programme aimed at supporting mama mboga and boda boda riders who have remained without means .
The host MP Mary Wamaua on her part asked the government to assist to settle 25 families that were left out by the Kakuzi company in Makuyu.
Wamaua said the victims on Thursday demonstrated castigating Kakuzi limited for short changing the 25 families.
“We ask for the families to be resettled as they live in abject poverty, after they were left out on the settlement programme that was earmarked for the 35 families,” said Wamaua.
Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wa and Nominated MP Sabina Chege said it would be unforgiving for Mt Kenya if they failed to support the government, despite development programmes initiated.
Kimani said the rivals are opposed to the government’s agenda , without providing an alternative.
“ The empowerment programme is part of fulfilling what we promised the people in 2022,” he said.
Chege said the region has programmes that the public asked the government to initiate in efforts to uplift their living standards.
Others present were MPs Peter Kihungi( Kangema) Betty Maina(Murang’a), Eric Wamumbi,( Mathira), Dr Edwin Mugo( Mathioya) among others who threw their support to President Ruto.
