Stop early campaigns, allow service delivery pleads Mathioya MP

Mathioya MP Ewin Mugo warned against the introduction of early campaigns, saying Kenyans are interested in service delivery.

He told the elected leaders to put an end to premature election campaigning and concentrate on fulfilling their responsibilities to the citizens, as part of the service delivery.

Mugo emphasized national unity, peace, and responsible leadership, warning against the danger of playing politics ahead of the  electioneering period, as he affirmed he will continue supporting the government eying to access resources to accomplish development programmes that will improve the living standards of the constituents.

Mugo said he will not be pushed to discredit the government he expects to allocate him resources  to fund development programmes as he promised to the voters in 2022.

Spoke at the Mathioya Technical, and Vocation College in Kamacharia, when he launched a driving school training truck.

Dr Mugo said he has an agenda to accomplish to enable the voters to give him a second term following the impressive service delivery that include tarmacking of roads.

“ The government of President William Ruto has a blueprint to improve the living standard of the youth who are the majority, through equipping them with the technical skills,” said the MP accompanied by the institution’s principal David Gathaiga. 

He explained that he was lobbying  for the tarmacking of Kagumo ini- Gitugi road, which he detailed once completed will improve access and fast delivery of farm produce to the markets

Mugo lauded the introduction of the home based care programme through the support of Kiriaini mission hospital, that is preparing the learners for international jobs.

The youth trained at the institution, he explained will be engaged in construction sites at the proposed Kiria ini law courts, Huduma centre, Affordable housing programme (AHP), and Mathioya KMTC in Kihuro area

“ The first cohort of the students taking the home based care lessons will be flying to Canada upon completion of their  learning period,” said the MP.

““ There are more development programmes awaiting Mathioya, thus need to train our youth for the task,” he said.”

Mathioya residents , he advised, should invest in the construction of rental houses that will accommodate the students in the TIVET and KMTC institutions. 

Githaiga, the principal said the driving school department apart from  being used by the students, will also offer refresher courses to other drivers as part of enhancing road safety.
