The embattled Nairobi Central Police Station OCS, Samson Talam has appeared before the Milimani Law Courts in connection with the death of social media influencer and teacher, Albert Ojwang.
Talam was named by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Chief Mohamed Ibrahim Amina person of interest during a Senate grilling session, was linked with death of the high school teacher, that has sparked public outrage.
The officer who is appearing before Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi through his lawyer has maintained his innocence, claiming he was not present at the station when Ojwang was brought in.
He stated that he only arrived later after being informed of Ojwang’s critical condition
