Foundation donates more than 600 hygiene kits to female students

A foundation has come to assist improve hygiene of female students in secondary schools in Kangema after the Ministry of education has delayed in supplying the kits.
Kamau Wairuri Foundation in the past three weeks got requests from the teachers of their much needed hygiene kits for their female students to concentrate on their studies.
In the programme dubbed Dignified Learning Program (DLP), Rwathia, Kihoya,Gitugu Mixed secondary schools benefited with the hygiene kits.


An official of the foundation, Mr Gerald Gaituri said they visited the three schools, met principals who highlighted the challenges they encountered due to lack of sanitary towels among the female students.
Kamau Wairuri Foundation is determined to work in partnership with Murang’a residents towards improving their living standards.
“ Each of the learners received a pack of sanitary towel, toothbrush and a toothpaste,” said Gaituri, adding that the teachers appreciated the initiative calling for more well wishers.
