More than 700 students
joining form one will benefit with a Sh6 million bursary kitty from Kiharu NG-CDF to facilitate their registration.
The kitty
launched by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro will facilitate learners joining national
and extra-county secondary schools who have been listed the best cream.
Speaking during
the disbursement of the kitty at Murang’a Mothers Union Hall and Technology
Primary school, the MP said the number of parents seeking support from
the bursary kitty has increased following the unstable economy.
“ The Secondary School
Principals should allow the learners to study as we work out allocating
them more money. Presently, the NG CDF has not released the bursary kitty to
the constituencies,” said Nyoro.
Another kitty
for the continuing learners will be disbursed next week, added the MP.
In
Mathioya, the MP Dr Edwin Mugo two weeks ago disbursed Sh2.3
million to the model learners in forms two, three and four.
