I will be in the ballot says Murang’a Governor

With the political temperatures rising Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria has told off   a section of Mt Kenya leaders who are trying to create a bargaining power  without consulting the community.

 Iria who launched his campaigns said his main  target is to reach the grassroot voters who have been passed by a clique that have been holding secret meetings in hotels eager to bargain with those who have declared to run for Presidency next year.

 Speaking in Murang’a, the governor  in reference  to political meetings that took place in Nakuru, Thika  among other towns, with a section of Mt Kenya leaders attending  said it was premature as the locals have not been involved.

The Usawa Kwa Wote Party leader spoke at  the historical General Ihura grounds, saying since independence  Mt Kenya region has been producing a candidate  eying the presidency.


“ As a second time Governor I know what  Wanjiku of Mt Kenya  need, yet a section of leaders have been retreating to board room meetings in posh hotels  pursuing their selfish interests,” said Iria.

  Mt Kenya leaders who accompanied ODM leader Raila Odinga in Nakuru were  Governors Annie Mumbi Waiguru and Ndiritu Muriithi of  Kirinyaga and Laikipia respectively.

In Thika town, a brigade led by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, included The Service Party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri and Martha Karua of Narc Kenya.

“ There is no secret am going  to the ballot through my self made strategy of meeting with the people and I will not be a party to the political brokers who have stage managed  to have followers,” said the Governor.
