Two MCAs in Kigumo, Murang’a caught a rude shock after their mission to sideline a contestant flopped.
During a funeral service in Karinga secondary school in Kinyona Ward in Murang’a County MCAs, John Ruoho Wangechi and his nominated colleague Wangari Kigo were shocked after the locals demanded Liz Mbugua address them.
The two had addressed the mourners before the locals sent a note to the master of ceremonies saying they wanted to hear from Mbugua who has declared interest for the Kinyona Ward slot.
The master of ceremony asked her to take the shortest time possible to meet the wishes of the people.
In her address, Mbugua a Personal Assistant to Murang’a MP Sabina Chege said it was regrettable that there could be a plot to shield her yet the locals were aware of her political intention.
“ Am grateful that the interest of Wanjiku in the representation is working,” said Mbugua.
Chege, she said, was eying for Murang’a Governorship position after having served as an MP for 10 years.
