There was tension at the
Laikipia County assembly after unknown people broke into offices, being the
second incident in the week.

On Thursday night according
to the security camera the suspect gained entrance into the legislative house and
damaged a computer before he went into celebration.
The employees of the assembly were shocked
after they found the premise being in an ugly position.

This happened two days after the place had a
rare guest who defaced the walls of the assembly with human waste and left
behind LAIKIPIA COUNTY.
The police, backed with a sniffer dog, tried to
establish the path the intruder used to get into the facility, without the
knowledge of the armed police and security guards.
Assembly Speaker Patrick Waigwa
said the administration was forced to invite the police to conduct
investigations and help to unravel the mystery.
The police working on unmasking the mystery after an intruder walked in the Laikipia County Assembly on Thursday night.
“ Only one computer was damaged
after the criminal element stepped on it. We have been assured the facility is
safe. We have been forced to increase more security officers for the safety of
the MCAs and the staff,” said Waigwa.
Nanyuki police, he added, got a reinforcement
from Nyeri to undertake the intensive
investigations.
The MCAs expressed their dismay following the occurrence
of the two incidents calling on the government to launch investigations and
arrest the culprits.
