Governor Ndiritu Muriithi on Tuesday evening decided to move out of his office
and toured Nanyuki town when hundreds of
the locals were questioning the poor state of Nanyuki district hospital.
The Governor moved to specific places where he
mingled with the town dwellers as he kept off
the roads leading to the Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital at the
time his critics had petitioned the county assembly to
institute steps to impeach him.
It was the first time this year
that the county chief toured the town days after the locals took to the streets
following the deaths of Halima Hassan ,58,
and Jane Njoki over what has been
described as negligence at the NTRH.
