Laikipia County Government has organised a public participation forum  to help get public views on the improvement at the troubled Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital.
NTRH administration has received a backlash from the public following the deaths of Halima Hassan ,58, and Jane Njoki 24.

The forum set for today between 10 am and 12.30 pm  will be a forum where the public  will face the county government on issues that led to last week’s acrimony following the challenges they face in getting the effective services at the health facility.

The insiders have hinted that the county government has paraded health specialists  who serve the facility  while the public will demand questions arising  to why the patients in need of specialists are transferred to Nyeri  and Meru for treatment.
Laikipia North MP Sarah Korere speaking in Ngenia pleaded with the county government to put its house in order and end the suffering the people are going through.

Speaking when she commissioned the newly constructed Sirimon Laikipia Day Secondary School, the MP said there is need for the improved service delivery at NTRH  and Doldol hospitals following increased public complaints on the service delivery.
” Health is a devolved function and the Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi  should work  to improve it rather than watch people suffer,” said Korere.
