Wanjiru Chege eyes to be the second Murang’a Governor after Iria

Murang’a MP Sabina Chege has organized her networks in
all parts of the county in efforts to mobilise support ahead of next year’s election.
Chege, one of
the leaders in the county who have declared interest to run for the governorship
position next year, spent the better part of last week in Mashinani reaching out to the
community, and attended church related functions.
The ground networks runs parallel programmes such as
hers on daily basis.
She was at Kenol catholic church, Githumu AIC
Hospital, consecration of the altar at Kenol AIPCA and retirement of Pastor Peter
Muiruri Kariuki at Kabati AIPCA.
Others who have declared to run for the post upon exit
of Governor Mwangi wa Iria are former Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau, Water and
Irrigation Principal Secretary Joseph Wairagu and Tea Lobby Sector Chairman
Irungu Nyakera. Also in the ring is senator Irungu Kang’ata
Chege in the week also attended funds mobilization at
Machegecha primary school, and an event at Kiiha community self-help group
