Murang’a
County has been identified as a leading producer of milk in the country, thus
attracting many processors.
The New
KCC has been identified as a leading producer to partner with farmers in
support of milk production to satisfy the market.
In Gatanga
Sub County, MP Joseph Ngugi Nduati said it takes determination and hardwork for
a dream to come true.
He said Juhudi and Highlands Dairy farmers in
Kariara Ward received 40 Milk Churns donated by the New Kenya Cooperative
Creameries.
New KCC
Officials led by Philip Kibet and local leaders celebrated the issuance of the
milk cans to farmers.
The MP said the support is aimed at increasing
production capacity which will accelerate economic growth when put in proper
use.
“We
shall continue working closely with Public and Private Organizations for the
benefit of our farmers, “said the MP.
Among
the leading dairy players in Murang’a county are Brookside, Murang’a County
Creameries (MCC). MCC backed by Murang’a county government has established 38
milk cooling plants across the county.
