A week after embattled Nyandarua
county assembly speaker Ndegwa Wahome was impeached, the post has
declared vacant.
The county assembly has
advertised for the slot with professionals from the county
declaring interest.
The former speaker
Acting Clerk at the Assembly Mr
Muriithi Wairimu has advertised for the position, with the closing date set for
January 22 at 5pm.
Action by the county assembly
to impeach Wahome followed a tug of war with Governor Francis Kimemia, basing
on the development status in the county.
