Battle for political supremacy
between Governor Francis Kimemia and Speaker Ndegwa Wahome has taken a new
twist.
The assembly impeached the speaker
following the battle with the governor that emerged late last year.

The impeachment took place despite a
court ruling by high court judge Justice Joel Ngugi that gave the speaker seven
days to respond to the allegations leveled against him.
In the impeachment motion moved by
majority leader Edward Kingori, 30 members were in support.
Nyandarua Governor
One abstained while eight were absent.
Wahome was accused of misconduct,
abuse of office, nepotism in hiring of staff among others.
