Wakili Mbiyu Kamau is leading the
pack with the delivery of handwashing tanks in his native Kandara sub county.
Mbiyu known for his hospitality to the villagers has kicked off a process of
issuing hand washing tanks to primary schools in the constituency to help stop
spread of diseases.
In the first phase, the tanks were
donated to Ng’araria, Kawendo, Muiri ini, Gakarara, Kirunguru and Gathugu
primary schools where learning is taking place
for standard eight and grade four.
The lawyer said he has responded to
government advice to all the stakeholders in the education sector to join hands
to ensure the safety of the learners, teachers and the community.
“ As we are concerned about Covid 19, there is a need for the
community to enhance handwashing to help keep the diseases away,” said Mbiyu. He added that cleanliness is second to Godliness, as the saying goes
