Effects of Covid 19 are
here with a bang with Deputy President William Ruto forced to postpone his
weekend meetings.
In his Twitter account, Ruto has postponed his
meetings in the Eastern region that had been planned in Machakos, Kitui and
Makueni.
“The upsurge of Covid 19 cases strongly
indicates that a second wave may be in the offing. For these reasons, I have decided
to significantly scale down my public engagements until further notice. The
empowerment meetings for this weekend in Machakos, Kitui and Makueni are postponed,” read the
tweet.
last weekend, Ruto was in Central Kenya where
he held political rallies cum empowerment meetings in the counties of Murang’a,
Nyeri and Meru.
