Employ the
youth, don’t incite them politicians told

Two youth
who were killed during a clash at Kenol town two weeks ago have been buried with
youth blaming politicians for inciting them to violence.

 Burial of Christopher Kariuki 22 and Peter
Mbothu15 saw the youth expressing their desire to the government and their
parents  to guide to help them march into
the future.

 In the funeral service at Mt Kenya University
graduation grounds, Gema leaders presided over the prayers, with a call to the youth
to shun being lured into violence by selfish politicians.

 The service was attended by community leaders
from Gikuyu, Mbeere, Njuri Ncheke, Kiama kia Ma among others.

The Gema
youth association chairman John Ndonga on his part said there was need for politicians
to empower the youths instead of luring them into violence.

“For long
the youth in this country have been misused by politicians and we are asking
for favourable environment to ,match into the future,” said Ndonga.

Gikuyu
elder Kigochi Waimiri said it was irresponsible  for politicians to embak into early
campaigns  when we have two years to the
general election.

“ We need
to  play responsible politics and parents
must monitor the whereabout their children at all time,” said Kigochi.

 Kiambu Governor James
Nyoro and his predecessor William Kabogo were the only politicians who attended
the service.
