Kenya is faced with threat
of second wave of Covid 19 thus need for all to engage in measures stop spread
of the disease.
The latest reports from
Ministry of Health new infections are registered at 318 persons, with duty of
being safe bestowed on individual Kenyan.
This has re-introduced a national debate if
the schools should be closed two days after they reopened after a seven months
closure.
In the last seven months,
health workers despite challenges did their best towards reduction of the
infection due to continuous health education that called for frequent hand
washing and sanitising.
Ministry of health team
led by Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has been a daring as it has been a daring
to Kenyans for releasing daily information pertaining to the disease.
In Murang’a, Nyeri and
Laikipia counties, the health workers remain celebrated for their efforts to
educate the people and ways to avoid
contracting the deadly disease.
The two were among the counties
where health workers during the period of lockdown, took temperatures of people
entering and leaving to ensure safety.
Murang’a County Public
Health Officers Mr Muthui Gitonga says there is need for Kenyans to continue
adhering to the Covid 19 protocols, to avoid the second wave.
“ All the public places
there must be hand washing equipment and observing social distance as the best
way to keep the disease away,” said Muthui.
It is also worth noting that county
governments have done their best despite shortfall in financing towards
establishing facilities designed to handle Covid 19.
Luck enough
Kenya was not hit like other countries but there is need to observance of the protocols
in schools, market centres and in social function to ensure we remain safe.
