Leadership in Murang’a has expressed reservations after a
delegation visited Deputy President William Ruto in his Karen home.
The delegation led by Moses Kang’ethe a former political
advisor to Governor Mwangi wa Iria has sparked a debate on the succession politics.
There were mixed reaction in the social media platforms
concerning the visit in the area perceived to be the bedrock of President Uhuru
Kenyatta.
Ruto since the failed interdenominational prayers organised
by clergy, at Kimorori grounds last year at Kenol has kept off Murang’a county.
The team included
Ephantus Githae the secretary-general of Civic Renewal Party (CRP) associated
by Murang’a Governor Iria.
Insiders in CRP said Githae was kicked out of the party long
ago after he started playing divisive politics.
Others included Kangari businessman Kigo wa Njiiri and
Kangema based politician Mr Johnson Mukuha.
The team was accompanied by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro who is a a staunch supporter of Ruto.
Kang’ethe fell out with governor three months ago after he
secretly visited the DP.
The mountain journal has established that Ruto
is scheduled to attend a church service African Independent Pentecostal Church (AIPCA)
on Sunday at Kenol market. Our news lines are
